To realize our Group philosophy "Good Chemistry for Tomorrow - Creating better relationships among people, society, and our planet" and to tackle global warming and other issues facing humankind, along with its Group companies, Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corporation (MCHC) has promoted the MCHC Group KAITEKI Project since July 2008.
Reflecting on the fire that broke out at the Kashima Plant in December 2007, Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC) formulated a basic policy for fiscal 2008 RC activities under the theme of reemphasizing Safety First Awareness, with all Group companies proactively engaged in recurrence prevention. In addition, committees have been established at the Kashima Plant, where five measures to cultivate a safety culture have been established.

Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corporation (MTPC) was established in October 2007 through the merger of Tanabe Seiyaku Co., Ltd., and Mitsubishi Pharma Corporation. Since this merger, rather than pursuing economies of scale our focus has been on seeking to take advantage of the two former companies' drug discovery technologies. This approach allows us to do our utmost to develop new pharmaceuticals that will assist in the earliest possible treatment of ailments from which patients suffer. MTPC seeks to continue doing its best for patients. This has always been the starting point of our business.
In April 2008, the former Mitsubishi Plastics, Inc. Mitsubishi Polyester Film Corporation, Mitsubishi Chemical Functional Products, Inc., Mitsubishi Chemical MKV Company and the functional products businesses of MCC were integrated to launch the new MPI. Positioning compliance as the highest priority among management policies, MPI will steadily address the accomplishment of CSR management.

The Mitsubishi Rayon Group is committed to offering superior products and services that genuinely satisfy customers in line with its management philosophy of "Best Quality for a Better Life".
