Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corporation
Operations of the No. 2 Ethylene Plant of the Kashima Plant of Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation, a consolidated subsidiary of Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corporation have been suspended with the suspension order by the Fire Defense Headquarters of Kashima Southern District, since the fire accident occurred on December 21, 2007. The suspension order of the Plant has been partially lifted today, so that Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation has announced the details (refer to the press release). In addition, there is no revision on the consolidated financial projection for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2008 announced on January 31, 2008, in response to this matter.
